Good luck!

Our Brother Alephs and Sister B’nai B’rith Girls,

Alephs and BBGs from across our region experience BBYO on the chapter level. Some choose to become regionally active by attending conventions, enjoying dances, and meeting teens from other chapters. Others choose to go further than that and get involved in Regional leadership. This means taking on the responsibility of planning those conventions, organizing dances, and supporting chapters all over Ontario.

Regional Board is an opportunity to lead the region, to make Lake Ontario Region better than it was when you first found it, to create change, and to learn more about BBYO and yourself as a leader along the way. It involves long hours behind the scenes and deep conversations when you least expect them. It is both stressful and rewarding, and an experience unlike any other in BBYO. If your passion for AZA and BBG know no limits, if you want to inspire others to find their home in BBYO and recognize their potential, if your commitment to your fellow Alephs and BBGs goes beyond fraternity and sisterhood, then Regional Board could be your chance to make an impact. It truly is a once in a lifetime experience.

If you’re a member in good standing and you’ve served on chapter or regional board, then you are eligible to carry the torches for the next year. By this standard, there are an incredible number of Alephs and B’nai B’rith Girls who qualify to serve on the 41st Regional Board. A regional board member needs to have a driving passion and dedication to Lake Ontario Region, and understands that being on Regional Board is a privilege, but also a responsibility and a challenge.

Welcome to the 41st Regional Board election process. Read this packet carefully - it has all you’ll need to know about serving on Regional Board, and detailed instructions on how to complete the candidacy process. Even if you aren’t considering candidacy, we highly encourage you to familiarize yourself with what you should expect of your leaders so that you can become an educated voter.

We wish you the best of luck. If you have any question at any point, do not hesitate to reach out to us. It’s our job to make sure that you are informed and comfortable. We are here for you.

Submitted with undying love for BBYO Lake Ontario Region #36, the 40th Regional Board, finding Waldo, and all the passionate leaders ready to continue finding their roots,

We forever remain,

Dylan Brown and Hannah Alper
