Project Overview:
Speed Byte is a Tron-inspired, fast-paced motorcycle racing game featuring neon visuals and challenging tracks that demand quick reflexes and strategic thinking.
My Contributions:
Implemented the hazard system, creating interactive obstacles that affect player movement and increase race tension.
Built the health system, tracking player damage and integrating visual/audio feedback for player status.
Developed the pit stop mechanic, allowing players to recover health mid-race, balancing risk and reward during gameplay.
Technical Focus:
My work centered on scripting and integrating gameplay systems within Unreal Engine using Blueprints, ensuring smooth functionality and player feedback. This role deepened my experience in gameplay programming and system design.
