About Me
Hi, I’m Bayley Hager—a passionate Level Designer focused on crafting immersive, player-first gameplay experiences. I specialize in solving design problems creatively, building fun and functional mechanics, and guiding players through engaging, intentional spaces.
Background
I’m from Colorado, USA, and my journey into game development started with a love for level flow, gameplay systems, and interactive storytelling. I focus on building levels that communicate clearly, play smoothly, and leave a lasting impact—especially through hands-on experience in Unreal Engine and collaboration with other developers.

Design Philosophy
To me, great level design is about more than just layout—it’s about guiding players intuitively, offering meaningful decisions, and pacing experiences for maximum engagement. I design with clarity and player intent in mind, aiming to make every encounter feel rewarding and fun.
Notable Projects
Adventure Project – A cinematic, traversal-based level inspired by Tomb Raider and Uncharted. I created a rotating crane platform, lever puzzles, and environmental challenges that pushed exploration and timing-based mechanics.
Speed Byte – A Tron-style, high-speed motorcycle racing game. I developed the hazard system, health mechanic, and pit stop functionality, introducing strategic risk and recovery options mid-race.
Battle Bikers: Race Around the World – A one-page, print-and-play board game that emphasizes quick movement, dice-based decision-making, and skill-driven racing mechanics.
Teamwork & Collaboration
I’ve worked with other designers, programmers, and producers to build polished, playable experiences. I’m comfortable using Confluence, Jira, GitHub, and Perforce to manage tasks, iterate on ideas, and keep communication clear throughout development.
Beyond the Game
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me riding my motorcycle, gaming, or spending time with my wife and son. These experiences keep me grounded and inspired—and remind me why I love building games that bring people together.
