Tasmanian Devil from Pixy
One day Bugs Bunny and all of the crew down to the river to enjoy a nice day playing in the water and picnicking on the bank. When the Tasmanian Devil heard that everyone would be down by the river, he decided it was the perfect time to go taunt them. He was especially after Bugs Bunny, which was not out of the ordinary, for Bugs Bunny was his favorite target of harassment.
"Which one of you can jump across this river to the other side on the first try?" the Tasmanian Devil sneered.
The Tasmanian Devil was the most intimidating guy to everyone because he was always trying to traumatize and pick on the little guys. No one dared to go near him and would try to hid anytime they would see him coming.
Immediately, Tasmanian Devil decided to go after his favorite subject. "I bet you cannot do it, Bugs Bunny. You will surely fall straight in."
Daffy Duck was the first to chime in, "I can surely do it if Bugs will not." For Daffy Duck was always trying to prove himself to the others because he wanted to be taken more seriously.
The Road Runner also declared, "I can most definitely do it! I will get a running start and be able to soar across."
Bugs Bunny was still quiet because he was nervous that the Tasmanian Devil might be right and he did not want to embarrass himself by failing and falling into the water.
Tweety saw that Bugs Bunny was in distress and quickly came to his side to encourage him, "You are the thpringiest bunny in tha whole wide world, Bugs Bunny. If anyone can jump across this river itth certainly you! You have to do it so you can prove the Tathz wrong or he will just continue to torment you."
With all this encouragement, Bugs Bunny began to believe in himself and knew that he could do it. He started to stretch and warm up. All the while, the Tasmanian Devil continued to torment him.
"Leave him alone, Tathz!" cried Tweety. "He will do it and you will sthee that you are wong."
Bugs Bunny was finally fed up with the remarks the Tasmanian Devil was making. By thinking on all of Tweety's kind words he decided that he was ready to take the leap.
Bugs Bunny took a few paces back like he was setting up to kick a field goal. And then off he went! He leaped so high in the air that the whole crowd that had gathered around suddenly gasped. As Bugs was soaring through the air he almost looked more bird like that bunny. Everyone held their breath in fear that Bugs Bunny might not make it.
Finally, after what had seemed like forever, Bugs Bunny landed on the other side. Immediately, the crowd erupted in excitement and cheers. Everyone was so delighted that Bugs Bunny had made the leap and been able to prove the bully wrong.
Tweety made sure to seize the opportunity to fly over and land on Taz's shoulder to make sure and rub it in that he was wrong. The Tasmanian Devil was so upset that he stormed away to go back home and sulk all by himself.

Author's Note: For this story I meshed together three of the tiny tales from Ramayana. In the original story, Angada is the leader of the monkeys and wants them to succeed and jump over the ocean to look for Sita. Jambavan, king of the bears, encourages Hanuman and helps him realize that he can do it. I kept a similar story line but replaced the original characters for Looney Tunes characters. By using Looney Tunes characters I feel like I could make the story more light-hearted and a little easier to follow along with even despite minor changes. I know when I read some of the Indian Epics I get caught up trying to just pronounce some of the names. First, I changed the main character of Hanuman into Bugs Bunny because he is the Looney Tunes character that stands out the most to me. I chose to use the Tasmanian Devil as Angada but let him keep his antagonist persona like he generally has in all his stories because he is not always very nice. I also wanted to let the Tasmanian Devil have a voice in this story. In the original story, Angada is asking the monkeys to see who can jump over the ocean to Lanka. Instead of an ocean, I chose to use a river because it would be much shorter and better believable that Bugs Bunny would be able to jump. Next, I made Tweety, for Jambavan, as the good guy who helped to encourage Bugs Bunny. In the original story, Jambavan inspires Hanuman to know that he is able to leap across the ocean and prove Angada wrong. Overall, this was a fun story to revise and create something new yet similar for a finished project.
