Overview
If you're a swimmer looking to join a community of fellow enthusiasts, we welcome you to join our club! We accept new members year-round and invite you to come and try out a practice or two to see if its the right fit. Please note that while we don't have coaches, so it is important to have basic swimming skills before joining our team. However our practices are still structured to accommodate swimmers of all levels. We offer different training groups based on skill level, so you can swim with others who are at a similar level to you. This creates a supportive and challenging environment that encourages growth and improvement. So if you're a swimmer who wants to be a part of a fun and supportive community, we invite you to come and join us!.
Rec Sports Interest Form
If you're interested in joining the Longhorn Swim Club, please fill out our interest form and mark your interest in our club. The form is available at https://secure.rs.utexas.edu/services/sportclubs/info/ . Then, come to one of our practices or socials! We look forward to hearing from you and can't wait for you to be a part of our team!
Dues
We offer two membership options to fit your needs. You can choose to pay $45 for a single semester or $80 for the entire school year. These fees cover the cost of a Longhorn Swim Club cap, as well as all meet entries and transportation. Plus, after each meet, we have a team dinner which is also covered!
Paying Dues
You can pay your dues using the RecSports online payment system. Select ‘Longhorn Swim Club’ for the Sport Club, ‘Sport Club Dues’ for the Deposit Account, and include ‘[Your Name] Annual Dues(or spring/fall dues)' in the Description box. Also, be sure to put ‘60.00’ or '35.00' for the Deposit Amount. Before you add the deposit to your cart, your page should look like this:
After paying your dues, it might take a few days for your payment to show up in our system. We’ll be keeping an eye on Hornslink for your payment so we can add you to our members-only GroupMe, but if you would like to be added right away, please direct message one of the club officers a screenshot of your order confirmation.
Final Steps to Becoming a Member
There are two more things you need to do after paying your dues.
You need to complete the UTSCA Membership Packet. This is required by RecSports! If you have any questions when completing the packet, please ask a club officer!
You also need to request to join our Hornslink page. This is required by RecSports! If you do not know how to do this, please ask a club officer and we will send you an invitation to join!
After this is all done, you will be an official Longhorn Swim Club member! Welcome!
