FAQs

Is it too late to join?

No, it's never too late to join our team. We accept new members year-round. Just come to a practice!

Are there tryouts?

No, we don't hold tryouts. As long as you're able to complete our practices, you're welcome to join us.

I'm interested in meets, but prefer to swim alone. Is that an issue?

We understand that everyone has their own preferences, and that's okay. There are no mandatory practices or events, so you can choose to participate in what you feel comfortable with.

I want to join for exercise, but don't want to compete. Is that an issue?

Not at all. We understand that some members may want to join for fitness purposes only, and that's perfectly fine. All meets are optional, but we highly recommend them because they're a lot of fun!

How long are the practices (yardage)?

At the beginning of the school year, we start with light practices of around 1700 yards to ease everyone back into the routine. As we progress toward the end of the year, practices will be around 2500 yards in an hour-long session.

Do you have a coach?

No, we don't have a coach. Our officers, who have years of experience, create our workout plans. Not having a coach is one reason why we're able to keep our fees affordable.

What Do I Need to Bring to Practice?

All you have to bring is a swimsuit, goggles, and towel (cap if you wanna). We provide kick boards and pool bouys, however if you would rather bring your own equipment thats no problem at all!
