We are a small, intergenerational church family ranging in age from infants to retirees. Our gatherings include a mix of longtime North Country residents and Fort Drum-affiliated families and single soldiers.
Our purpose in gathering for worship is to lift up Jesus Christ as Lord. We do this through singing songs of praise, hearing God's word preached, and participating in baptism and the Lord's Supper.
Our worship service lasts about an hour and consists of pastoral prayer, congregational singing (a mixture of hymns and contemporary praise songs), an offering, an expository sermon, and a song of response.
Our Sunday classes consist of small group Bible discussions focused on applying the Bible to our everyday lives in order to grow in Christlikeness. All are welcome to join any time!
We encourage your family to worship however you feel most comfortable. We all stay together for congregational singing. We have a kids' program available during the sermon (currently geared towards ages 2-5). We love seeing families worshipping together and you're always welcome to keep your kids with you (no matter what age) for the duration of the service.
Additionally, we offer a nursing moms' room for those who need it.
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable for worship! Our church tends to dress casually, but no one will bat an eye if you prefer to dress it up.
Our church gives its members a chance to worship God through sacrificial financial giving. Because we see giving as part of worship, we "pass the plate" as part of the worship service. If you're a guest at our church, please feel free to let that plate pass you by. You're always welcome and never expected to give.
"Each person should do as he has decided in his heart--not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver."
(2 Corinthians 9:7)
