Nalla Lokesh is a Research Scholar (Ph.D.) in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras, India under the supervision of Prof. Mahesh Kumar. He received the master's degree in Power Electronics from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, Kerala, India, in 2013 and the bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, India in 2010. He worked as an Assistant Professor in SR University, Warangal, India from 2013 to 2017. His research interests include control of power converters for power conditioning, microgrid, energy storage and electric vehicle applications. He is highly motivated to apply Machine Learning (Specifically, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning and its combined form) concepts to the Microgrid control applications. In this regard, he started gaining the basic concepts of the same.
He is associated with US-India CollAborative For Smart DiStribution System WIth STorage (UI-ASSIST) team.
