About Mount Studio
Mount Studio emerged not only from its original location in Mount Lavinia, but from the idea of mounting—bringing together people, practices, and possibilities. It is a space shaped by collaboration with artists, institutions, and individuals across the creative field, and by the act of assembling ideas, materials, and methods into meaningful practice.
Rooted in this ethos, Mount Studio supports and develops diverse creative practices, including contemporary art, lens-based practices, archival and research-driven work, and analogue and alternative printmaking. The studio functions as a site of making, exchange, and care—where creative practices are mounted together through collaboration, process, and sustained engagement.
