This section explores how students can actively engage with AI during lessons — not just as passive users, but as thinkers, questioners, and creators. Instead of using AI only for teacher prep, these approaches bring it directly into the classroom to support exploration, dialogue, reflection, and practice.

From investigating real-life math problems to interacting with AI in role-play scenarios, and using it for end-of-lesson reflection or as a study buddy for guidance and feedback, AI becomes a flexible learning partner. It fosters student ownership of their thinking while the teacher stays in control of the learning journey.

To use any of the following tools — or to create your own — you’ll need to know how to make a custom GPT. Don’t worry! It’s easier than it sounds.

I’ve included a tutorial video to walk you through the process.
