Teaching

I have been the graduate student instructor for POLSCI 329: Media and Politics, POLSCI 389: Election Law, and POLSCI 111: Introduction to American Politics (3x) at the University of Michigan. I was also a teaching assistant for PS 242: Statistics for the Social Sciences and PS 410: Public Policy Processes while at the University of Illinois Springfield.

My teaching philosophy relies on three principles--making every student feel welcome in the classroom, encouraging every student to actively participate in the class in some way, and helping students think critically and write clearly about the topics at hand.
