Logan T. Woods
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of Michigan focusing on American Politics. My research interests include electoral competition, political parties, election administration, voter behavior, and political psychology. In my dissertation, I study how people react when parties and elections fail at being mechanisms for representation. My job market paper explores the consequences of elections in which candidates run unopposed by the other major party. I have a B.A. in American History and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois Springfield.
My dog Jules (left) and me
I am originally from a very small town in west-central Illinois. When I'm not working, I enjoy visiting family as well as watching, reading about, and thinking about baseball. I also enjoy golfing poorly and walking my dog Jules.
