Familiarize Yourself to Your Online Platforms
For almost any online learning platform, you will find a plethora of online tutorials showing you how to utilize everything the platform offers. Google, look within the LMS for existing tutorials and help guides, and look for the FAQs, the information is out there.
Set Up Your Space
A professional workstation setup is more important than you may think. At the very least, you'll need your computer, a good lighting source, a professional level microphone, a comfortable place to work and to think about your background.
Ask for Help
Remember that we all started somewhere. We encourage mentors in other parts of business, so why not find yourself a technology mentor? Or if you need a backup to help with grading, live sessions or anything else, don't be afraid to ask for the help you need.
Have Fun
The most important part of all of this is that if you allow yourself to breathe and have some fun with each step of the online teaching process, it will be a better experience for you and your students.
