@Ringleader Nope. I use toontracks SD2 for everything. ios seems pretty far away from replicating this. What I did to get a close effect was sample the drum hits on PC and import them into FLstudio mobile and created a new track for each velocity.. ie: dfh_kick01_soft, dfh_kick02_medium, etc... You end up with a huge confusing kit but the results are pretty close to what Toontrack will do. Fl Studio mobile has a sequencer. Besides that, if I'm wrong and you do find something please post here and let us know.

The main issue your going to have with multi sample drum sets on IOS is memory as the whole drumset will need to be loaded into ram. The total ram on the latest devices is 1mb (iPad 4 was rumoured to be getting 2mb but it unfortunately wasn't to be). The reality is that IOS itself takes up a good chunk of that memory which leaves very little for largish multi- sample instruments like convincing accoustic drum sets so I don't see anything decent coming along for a while. If there was an efficient way to utilise disk streaming (like DFD in NI's Kontakt the story would be different) but yet again I'm not sure that the disk streaming could keep up with the demands of percussion parts - it would be interesting to hear a developers thoughts here.

It's not a case of Beatmaker being able to compare to desktop DAW based drum sample libraries but a least with Beatmaker (or the forthcoming version of DrumJam) you could add say three of for velocity layers for each drum timbre. That will still be a huge improvement on single samples for each drum. Other tricks you can use to make this limited approach sound even better is to automate filtering on your drum performances - the higher the velocity the brighter the timbre. This technique was used to great effect by producers in the eighties using beatboxes like the DMX. As ever, it's a case of making up for the limitations of the platform through creative use of the tools you do have.

@jonmoore yes, there are a few other tricks one could use to increase the realism of a limited-layer sample-based drum set. The velocity-sensitive filter is a huge one (especially on snare, hh, and cymbals) I also typically map the velocity to AMP-release for open hh, so I can get a open-choked hh with mid-level velocity, and a fully-opened hh at high velocity (it just feels more natural to me as opposed to having two seperate pads for the sound)

Today we have iSpark, supporting up to 6 velocity layers per pad that can be played by vertical tap position on the pads. Also has round robin and random modes, Midi clock master and slave sync plus something rare for a drum app: It can sample!
