Hello Delegates!
I am thrilled that the World Affairs Delegation once again has the privilege of hosting LoboMUN. I believe that I speak on behalf of all of our members when I say that we are so excited to begin the 19th session of this conference, and that these few days will be as much fun for us as they are for you. However, before we are able to kick off the conference and delve into the world of LoboMUN 2025, I wish to establish some guidelines.
In New Mexico, we are very lucky to have such a diverse and vibrant community, and myself and the chairs want nothing more than to help foster creative, insightful, and most importantly, respectful debate. Therefore, any behavior which promotes colonialism, xenophobia, racism, sexism, ableism, or any other form of prejudice will not be tolerated.
Throughout the conference, you are expected to act with decorum and understanding for all that you meet. These topics, while not always set in the present or even in our world, are all still sensitive to a certain degree and you are expected to treat them as such. In accordance with the guidelines outlined above, your chairs will not allow any directives, crisis arcs, or resolutions that promote any of the aforementioned themes.
Above all else, our team wants all delegates to feel safe and welcome in committee. It is our hope that we can all work together to foster an environment that helps delegates thrive and enjoy the conference as much as possible. If you notice any negative behavior or feel uncomfortable at any point in committee, we encourage you to reach out to your chairs or advisors and report any incidents. Your comfort and safety is our number one priority.
If you have any questions about this policy or are unsure if something would go against the guidelines, please do not hesitate to reach out to your chair.
Diplomatically,
Frankie Jones
Secretary-General
