@ LNHS Courtyard/Cafeteria
3:15 PM: Check-in begins
3:30 PM: Dynamic Warm-Up
3:45- 4:00 PM: Jumps/Tumbling
Jumps (Monday)
We will start with a review of counts and proper form before moving into four different jumps: Toe-Touch, Hurdler, Pike, and Double Toe-Touch.
All prospective athletes are expected to come prepared with a strong understanding of our jump counts and the required jumps for our program.
Tumbling (Tuesday)
We will begin with a quick warm-up in panels before asking to see highest tumbling skill.
Please note that NO spotting will be allowed during clinics or evaluations. All tumbling skills must be performed independently with confidence, control, and proper technique. Prospective athletes should only throw skills they can execute safely on their own. A friendly reminder that tumbling does NOT guarantee athlete placement.
If you do not have tumbling skills, you will be working on jumps during this time.
4:00-4:30 PM: Stunting
We will be placing prospective athletes in groups and ask that ALL prospective athletes remain flexible as will be moving girls into various groups throughout to show versatility.
We will review stunt basics. As your group progresses, we will ask to see additional elite skills based on stunt progressions.
Please be flexible and understanding, as coaches may ask you to try a new stunt position.
4:30-5:00 PM: Fight Song and Cheer Review (REMEMBER you are responsible for learning the material PRIOR to tryouts, videos will be available shortly under the "tryout material" tab)
