Good Morning Team,

I hope everyone had a great summer break, and we are all ready to get back to campus for Fall Training! I have added a few new materials to our Resource Hub, so please look around and familiarize yourself with this website! Remember, any announcements that are made throughout the year will also be posted here. We will be going over everything having to do with the resource hub during training.

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope everybody had restful Sunday following your tireless work last week. I wanted to reach out and express my sincere gratitude for your hard work over the last few weeks as we have endeavored to communicate with and check out every student living on LMU’s campus. I have only been working in LMU’s housing department for about a year and a half, but this was actually the seventh summer closing that I have worked across three universities. LMU’s Spring 2024 checkout process was by far the smoothest one that I have seen.

Last year we went into our last day of the semester with 22 students who had not given us a checkout time, and we were very happy with that number. This year, we had just 5 students out of our 855 residents who did not sign up for a checkout before Saturday morning. I will tell you from experience that any university in the country would be ecstatic with those numbers, and they are a testament to the effort and positive attitude that each of you put forth in your communication over the last few weeks.

Briar, Courtney, Dawson, and I each want each of you to know how much we appreciate the time you put in communicating with your residence and assisting in the checkout process. We hope you each have an incredibly rewarding Summer. We cannot wait to welcome you back in August and get back to work improving the residential experience for our students.

Good Afternoon Resident Assistants and GHC's,

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I will be talking about this at our staff meeting tonight, but I wanted to go ahead and send an announcement about Student Leadership Awards. The banquet will take place on Tuesday April 23, 2024, at 7:00 PM. A formal invitation will be sent soon.

The following awards will be announced during the banquet, and the link to submit nominations is below.

• New/Revitalized Organization of the Year

• Event of the Year

• Advisor of the Year

• Emerging Leader

• Community Service Initiative Award

• Club Officer of the Year

• Lifetime Lincoln Award

We will also recognize Graduating Senior Student Leaders, Lincoln Ambassador of the Year, RAIL of the Year, and RA of the Year in addition to presenting this year's Abe's Alliance Award. Good Afternoon Resident Assistants,

I hope everyone is having a great day here at the halfway point of the week. Please see the following updates and reminders below from our staff meeting this week.

1. Program Feedback – There are QR codes in everybody’s mailbox in the office of residential housing (GHC’s, these are located in the UINN Office). Please take these to all your events for the remainder of the semester and encourage your residents to give us some feedback!

2. Celebration Committee Survey – Please make sure you fill out the RA/GHC of the Month (and Bulletin Board of the Month) ballet at the following link. Please be advised, these need of be turned in by Sunday at midnight in order to count. The link can be found here: https://forms.gle/rvi3Yd4WsZjRdC5A7

3. Questions – If anybody has any questions, comments, or concerns regarding recent changes in our policies or department, please reach out and set up a meeting with me. I am happy to answer any questions you may have!

4. Bulletin Boards and Door Decorations – Bulletin Boards and Door Decorations will need to be changed out between Thursday, February 29th and Sunday, March 3rd.

5. Out of Office – I will be out of the Office on Thursday and Friday of this week. If you need to get ahold of me, please reach out via text (I will be unable to answer phone calls for most of the time I am away).

6. Student Leadership Retreat – The Student Leadership Banquet is almost here! The retreat is taking place in London KY on March 1st-2nd. If you are interested in attending this retreat to represent the RA Staff, please let me know! There is no cost to attend this retreat (and it doesn’t look bad on a resume).

1. Staff Meetings – Our next staff meeting will be on Monday evening at 8:30 PM in the Math and Science Building (Room 117). Moving forward, we will have our staff meeting every Monday evening at the same time and location.

2. Trivia Night – We had to reschedule our first trivia night of the semester due to the weather over the last few weeks. We will now be having this event on Wednesday, January 31st.
