As a team of representatives from each of the eight men’s social fraternities here at Loyola Marymount University, IFC believes in the idea of Fraternity and wants this council to create better communities, better chapters, and better men. We exist to promote the shared interests and values of our member organizations: leadership, service, brotherhood, and scholarship.
We work tirelessly to advance the academic mission of LMU by enabling fraternal organizations to grow and thrive through collaboration and teamwork, to provide an outlet for self-governance and accountability, and to model and teach ethical leadership with safety as the number one concern. We strive to do this in a variety of ways: connecting with all of you through our social media handles, hosting events like Lip Sync & Stroll-Off as well as SFL Flag Football, educating our members on responsible personal conduct and the resources we offer in our F.I.R.E. sessions and on New Member Day, in addition to many other services
We understand how frustrating these uncertain times might be. We recognize how much each of these chapters mean to you -- their members -- and the importance of the experiences they’ve given you. As LMU prepares to navigate an unpredictable new academic year, this council is prioritizing our connectivity, unity, inclusivity, and transparency in order to be a better resource for all the chapters we represent.
