Our Mission
The Large-Scale Machine Learning Systems Lab. studies critical problems in Machine Learning, Optimization, and High-Performance Computing. We currently pursue the following three research directions: 1) System-efficient large-scale neural network training strategies, 2) Federated Learning on heterogeneous systems, and 3) Applied Machine Learning for Physics.

[January 2026] Several awards won by LMLS lab students! Jihyun received the President's Award for BK Excellent Graduate Students (BK 우수논문상 총장상 (1st)), Jisoo received the Outstanding Award (BK 우수논문상 우수상 (3rd)), Seungjun received Excellence Award (학부논문부문 우수상) in Korean Software Congress 2025. Congradulations all!
