From a vision given at Christmas in 2016, Lancashire’s Lighthouse Radio commenced broadcasting on 04/04/2018 as an internet only radio station broadcasting globally 24 hours a day, throughout the years it has continued to grow and develop. Part of that development was that towards the end of 2024 we began to offer on demand content, this proved so popular that Lancashire's Lighthouse Radio prayerfully became entirely on demand in 2025.

From the very beginning The Lord made it clear that Lancashire's Lighthouse Radio was going to be something very different from other Christian radio stations, in fact we prefer the phrase ‘a radio station run by believers and followers of Jesus Christ’.

In the Christian Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all state the following:-

‘And he said to them, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men”.

This verse played a major part in the direction that the programming should take, to ‘fish’ for all God’s children requires variety.

Therefore, content varies ranging from chat, poetry, testimony, interviews, teachings and music (new and old varying in genre including Christian and ‘positive message’ secular) and has something for all tastes and age groups. None of the presenters are professionals and we come from all walks of life and backgrounds and from many different countries yet share the same passion to share the love of Jesus Christ. The Lord has taken us to over 200 countries and 48 out of the 50 countries named on OpenDoors World Watch List 2025.
