Sports Journalism will have its own special place in my heart because it was the starting block for me within broadcast journalism. Before I became the Co-Executive producer that I am today, I was a Co-Sports Anchor with my good friend Albanie. I had a great time doing sports Journalism.
I loved doing the recap with Albanie Knight. You can tell that a lot of the quirky jokes in the script were my idea, and I enjoyed it so much. With this being my first segment in WTHS, I can say I have grown so much, and I love that for myself. I also had a great time covering football because our team went on and won the state championship that year.
In this segment, we talked more about our football team because they were on a streak and reigned undefeated all season. Covering football was very fun and a great way to get my foot in the door into anchoring, writing, and producing packages. Also, that year our cross country team was undefeated with the brown brother taking it home every meet.
This was my last sports segment, and I can say that it was my favorite. I loved the diffrent sports being publicised, and I loved the humor along with quality of out on cam. It was a really great sports show, right before I started doing packages.
