About me 

I am Lizzie Clay, a qualified primary school teacher with over 15 years experience.  I have been lucky enough to teach in a wide range of schools and have taught children from each year group within the primary age range.  In 2022, I was selected to train with the NCETM (National Centre of Excellence in Teaching Mathematics) as a Primary Maths Specialist. After many rewarding years teaching in the classroom, I now work full time as a tutor.  

As well as tutoring primary aged children,  I also offer KS3 maths tuition.  Some children, in their first few years of secondary education, benefit hugely from further consolidation of the foundations covered during their primary education before moving on to study maths at GCSE.

It is such an honour to be able to spend quality time with students and to be able to deliver tailor-made lessons to suit both their needs and their interests.  After all, if we want learning to be fully embedded, tutoring has to be meaningful and engaging.  As we work together, the children will build up their knowledge and skills, and these will stay with them as they move through each stage of their education and beyond.
