Lizzie Buchanan

I am currently a postdoc at The University of Iowa. My research is in knot theory, and I am part of the RTG Topology and Geometry group. 

This summer I will begin an appointment as an Assistant Professor in the mathematics department at Spelman College. 

Before coming to UIowa I received my Ph.D. at Dartmouth College (advisor: Vladimir Chernov), participated in the Smith College Math Postbacc Program, and studied math and theatre at Hamilton College.
