Lizzie Buchanan

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the mathematics department at Spelman College. My research is in knot theory!

Before coming to Spelman: I was a postdoc at The University of Iowa in the RTG Topology and Geometry group after earning my Ph.D. at Dartmouth College (advisor: Vladimir Chernov), after participating in the Smith College Math Postbacc Program, after working as an Artistic Fellow at Perseverance Theatre, after studying math and theatre at Hamilton College.
