ARAB 1010-1020 (Beginning Arabic I-II)
I have taught first and second year Arabic at the high school and university levels, as well as at summer camp, in both public and private institutions.
The curricula I have used extensively are the two integrated-Arabic textbooks, ‘Arabiyyat al-Naas and Al-Kitaab, using a flipped classroom approach.
I was the director for two years at STARTALK Boston Public Schools Arabic Summer Academy
Finally, I also worked in study abroad with Middlebury College's School in the Middle East when it was in Alexandria, Egypt, as program coordinator.
My classroom is a laboratory where all of us, teachers and students alike, are constantly experimenting and honing our language and cultural skills.

Introduction to R for Data Science in Applied Linguistics: Bronson Hui, Melody Ma, and Monique Yoder, I led the Pay If Forward workshop to help researchers in Second Language Acquisition learn the ropes of the R software environment for statistical computing. Best of all, our participants donated $1550 to the charities of their choice!
Open Science Practices for Graduate Students: The Center for Statistical Training and Consulting at Michigan State University invited Bronson Hui and me to present on how graduate students can incorporate and benefit from the adoption of Open Science Practices such as Preregistration (and Registered Reports), Open Data, and Open Materials. You can get a flavor of it by looking the pre-print of our forthcoming chapter on a similar topic.
