PRAWNS BIRYANI!
Step 1: Frying the Onions
1. Ghee
2. Oil
3. Onions
Step 2: Marination
1. Cleaned and deveined Prawns (put in a little bit of salt and turmeric powder (to remove the raw smell))
2. Salt, Pepper powder, Turmeric powder, Chili powder, Coriander-cumin powder, Garam masala/chicken masala/biryani masala powder.
3. Ginger garlic paste
4. Curd
5. Fried Onions
6. Coriander and Mint (pudina) leaves
7. Green Chilies, Oil/Ghee, Lemon.
Step 3: Boil the rice
1. Soaked basmati Rice
2. Whole spices (Cloves, cardamom, cinnamon sticks, pepper, Bay leaf etc.)
3. Lemon.
Put lots of salt into the water. You can add Coriander leaves, Pudina, Ghee, Oil (from fried onions)
Make sure to partially cook the rice and drain immediately.
Step 4: Put it all together
1. Ghee
2. Prawns Marinade
3. Tomatoes
4. Cooked rice
5. Cashews, Coriander leaves, Pudina, Ghee, Oil (from fried onions), Fried Onions.
6. Sprinkle some salt and chicken masala powder on the top.
7. Food color is totally optional. (I don’t prefer it personally)
Seal the vessel and cook for 30 minutes on low flame.
