Liwei Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Operations, Business Analytics, and Information Systems at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati. She earned her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
Liwei’s research focuses on how the design and use of digital technologies shape human interaction and influence problem-solving and decision-making in societal and business contexts. She has published in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, and Journal of Medical Internet Research, and has presented her work in conferences including the International Conference on Information Systems, INFORMS, Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management, and Annual Workshop on Health IT and Economics. She serves as an Associate Editor at MIS Quarterly.
Her textbook, Generative AI for Business: Frameworks, Techniques, and Governance, coauthored with Wei Chen, was recently published.
