Students will rotate through three sessions during their day at Longneck Lagoon.

Session 1: Dipnetting

Students observe and collect a variety of living things found in an aquatic environment using dipnets. 

Session 2: Microscopes and magnifiers

They examine the external features of aquatic animals using microscopes and learn about the life cycles, special adaptations and survival needs of these living things. 

Session 3: Bush bugs

Students identify, classify and complete a scientific sketch of a terrestrial bug.
