I have an Iphone 11 Pro running the latest iOS 15.4. Live wallpapers do not work in the lock screen. Haptic touch is active, low battery mode is off, reduced motion is off. I tried everything. I tried Apple's stock live wallpapers, i've tried my own, nothing worked. In the live wallpaper review it works fine, but when i lock my screen and try it, it didn't move when i touch. However where it does work is on the screen when you swipe down from the top (not the control center), where you can see notifications, but that's after unlocking the screen. How do i get around this? I want to be able to have it move when the screen is locked which im sure is what it's supposed to be able to do.

Hello, I have created a live wallpaper before, and now after updating to IDE v2023.6.0.89 RUNTIME v2023.6.0.137 and the button to create a New Live Wallpaper has gone missing. I have tried tried to search on google but all I am seeing is stuff related to IOS wallpapers or How to make a wallpaper in the firstplace.

I am using this right now to set my live wallpaper when my battery is over 50 and when it's below a task this rotates static wallpapers takes its place. Also when I plug it in a live wallpaper that shows the current battery percent is set.

Hello there, a few days ago someone posted a nice TikTok video of Spider-man Live wallpaper. I got really interested of how to do it my self, so I did some digging. This is from my Laptop. Let me explain how you can do it as well:

It doesn't work perfectly. Sometimes your screen will go black, you can simple change to any wallpaper, and it's fixed. If some knows more information please add it in comments and I'll update the post.

in ios 16, branded live wallpapers and special ones for the iphone xs max model have completely disappeared, which is very sad, I hope that Apple developers will return live wallpapers from live photo and exclusive for that model live wallpapersand that I have already tried to put several live photos as wallpaper, but they are just like a static picture and more than one tip from apple care support did not help

Android had live wallpapers ages ago and apple is still unable to crack it. The long press in ios to animate wallpaper concept belongs to the stone age. Bored of seeing the same icons and theme in ios. I might as well switch to android as it offers loads of customization and the phone turns magical and lively. If I'm paying 1000 bucks, I want the phone screen to look how I want it not how apple wants it!

Please stop yelling, DEV knows better what you like and what is not necessary for you any more. They just remove live photo so accept it, adapt yourself to new idea bacause probably you don't understand it at all. Of course they could did a pinch gesture (android style) or L gesture or any other gesture to enable edit mode for lock screen insted of hold a touch what was a live photo start but... if they decide to remove it it's just done. Sometimes if you take out you phone from a pocket and realize that lock screen widget was changed due to self auto hold touch and random edit of lock screen, please don't scream it's a new surprise like 1st April so be smiled and happy you just get a bonus.

Since I'll have a free and paid version, in the free one I'd also like to make the user aware of the paid versions features, or even enable those features while previewing the wallpaper, but not when it's actually running on the homescreen to avoid annoying them.

The problem I'm having is that when I click 'Set Wallpaper' it begins my wallpaper service, then if I go back into my live wallpaper and click 'Set Wallpaper' again, it doesn't seem to close the previous service, but just runs another as well. This means each time I click 'Set Wallpaper' an image from the users SD card is read into a Bitmap variable and increases the memory used each time, which eventually throws an OutOfMemoryError.

For example, if I had my wallpaper set, then chose to set the 'Galaxy' live wallpaper, this would destroy my wallpapers service, but when setting my wallpaper again, it does not destroy the original service.

Before setting wallpaper again. Destroy the previous wallpaper. This worked for me. And Destroy Wallpaper in Activity from which you are calling WallpaperService. Destroying inside WallpaperService results in default Wallpaper of device.

It seems that when I already have my wallpaper running, then I click 'Set wallpaper' on its preview, the onDestroy() method isn't called. However, nullifying Bitmaps and calling stopSelf() can be put in the onSurfaceDestroyed method, this seems to work for each instance of the WallpaperService Engine open. It might not be the correct way to do things but it seems to work ok at the moment.

Hi there Aravisian, i am relatively new to Zorin i started with a try on version 15.

Now im back with 16Beta and im realy happy i found it it`s working like a shine.

I could get an live wallpaper working and would like to try the one with flying in space, could you please tell me were i can find that .

Thanks ahead keep up the good work.

Greetings Dirk.

Hi Aravisian, i went to the page in the link and ended up for Windows live wallpapers. I was hoping to get more on Zorin16 that i am working on right now.

Realy love the looks of it works like a shine and very fast. Sadly there is still very little on the blog about it, i`m sure there is much to find on google most is refering to ubuntu or Zorin 15 witch is absolutely diferent IMO.

th reason that i think this is because while just looking at the live wallpapers my 2080 has about 15 to 40 persent usage and my igu has about 9 persent. i am using a second monitor and that is plugged into my igpu. i was wondering if my gpu was rendering the wallpaper and pushing it through the igpu.

Yes. But not because of it being demanding but because of Windows Desktop Management... you will be absolutely required to play in a true Full Screen mode or you may encounter some weird stuttering issues. (unless the animated wallpaper stops being animated when in background)

The GPU usage depends from clock speed as well. A 15% to 40% GPU usage at 800MHz is way different than the same % usage at max clock speed. I'm assuming you're using the Wallpaper Engine in which case I strongly recommend to disable the MSAA or leave it at minimum since that's just eating performance for no good reason. If you need MSSA on a wallpaper then just get a wallpaper that's in better quality to begin with.

Maybe because, I've used live wallpapers in the past and every time a client opened up the wallpaper paused so it can reduce my ram and CPU usage. But having anything running in the background will slow your PC down a bit. I would like to say, that it uses a fare bit of memory though but I think your PC performance wont have a major effect with live wallpapers running.

If you have an iPhone and there are videos that you want to turn into live wallpapers, you have options. However, you'll have to first convert those videos to live photos. From there, you'll be able to find the live photo in your library and set it as your wallpaper.

2. You can either "Choose a New Wallpaper," which then goes to the Select from Dynamic, Stills or Live. When you decide which wallpaper you want, hit the Set button. It'll give you the option of adding the wallpaper to your home screen, lock screen or both.

3. Or you can toggle on or off "Dark Appearance Dims Wallpaper" and tap on the previews for your existing Lock Screen and Home Screen wallpaper choices and Move & Scale them as well as turn on and off Perspective Zoom.

4. Feast your eyes on your new wallpaper! You can check it out on your lock screen (by locking your phone) or your home screen (when you unlock the device). The fun part, at least for me, is watching a Live wallpaper (or photo) in action. You can do that by touching and holding the lock screen.

If you want wallpaper options beyond those offered by Apple, there's a bunch of third-party websites or apps (like Vellum, UnSplash or even iFixit) where you can quickly download some gorgeous wallpapers or photos to add that dose of personalization to your home screen. iFixit for instance, releases an annual "transparent" wallpaper that lets you show off the intricate internals of your iPhone -- there's one for the iPhone 12 for you to get your hands on. And if you've got your iPhone covered and are looking for eye-catching wallpapers to give your desktop a refresh, here are some CNET-curated sources to do just that. e24fc04721
