Yimo received her Master's degree from Rice University, working on computational biology and protein engineering, where she used structural modeling and simulations to explore macromoleculer behavior and design. In the Liu lab, Yimo is now expanding her skill sets to single-particle cryo-EM. Combined with previous background, she aims to develop novel therapeutic drugs against G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) to treat metabolic diseases.

Reese received his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from Geneva College, where he conducted research on adrenal cells from mice. Drawing on a diverse academic background, he now works not only to perform the complex procedures required to express and isolate proteins for cryo-EM, but also to document, organize, and communicate these processes to others. Today, he strives to be both a source of inspiration and a guide for those captivated by the remarkable complexity of molecular biology.
