How did #artforhealing start? Varun Nerella and David Xiong were making a video to show that art can change the world, and in the video, David Xiong stated, "We believe art can heal people." Varun Nerella used this message to take action, and #artforhealing was started.

He then continues, "We want to start making the world a better place by sharing our art with the world, and bring the world together during these hard times, even from your computer." He adds, "Also, we host many contests for one reason - so that we can share art's happiness everywhere. Like our motto says - 'Opening a door of uniqueness,' we want to open that door and help share your unique art with the world."
