LittleNotes App · Effective April 10, 2026 · Last updated April 10, 2026
LittleNotes ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights around that data. We've written it in plain language because privacy policies shouldn't require a law degree.
LittleNotes is designed to store your memories privately. Here is what we handle:
Memory content you create — text notes, photos, videos, and voice recordings you capture inside the app.
People and pet profiles — names, birthdates, and optional profile photos you add to organize your memories.
App settings and preferences — things like dark mode preference, custom milestone tags, and your default sharing toggle.
We do not collect your location, browsing history, or any data unrelated to your memories.
All your memories, photos, videos, and audio are stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. We do not have access to your memories. They live on your iPhone.
In a future update, we plan to offer optional iCloud sync via Apple's CloudKit. If you enable this, your data will be synced to your personal iCloud account — not to our servers. Apple's privacy policy governs that storage.
LittleNotes requests the following device permissions only when you use the relevant features:
Camera — to capture photos and videos for memories.
Photo Library — to attach existing photos or videos from your library.
Microphone — to record voice memos attached to memories.
Notifications — to send optional "On This Day" reminders about past memories.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in your iPhone's Settings app. Revoking a permission only disables that feature — it does not delete your existing memories.
The free version of LittleNotes displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google may use device identifiers to show relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your iPhone's privacy settings under "Apple Advertising." Upgrading to LittleNotes Pro removes all ads.
For more information on how Google handles data in its advertising products, see Google's Privacy Policy.
LittleNotes Pro is available as a subscription through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment information.
LittleNotes is intended for use by parents, grandparents, and pet owners — not by children directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed to capture memories about children, not for children to use themselves.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as described in this policy (Google AdMob for advertising in the free tier). We do not share your memories, photos, or personal information with anyone.
Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control. You can delete individual memories inside the app at any time. To delete all your data, delete the LittleNotes app from your iPhone — this removes all locally stored content. If you have iCloud sync enabled (future feature), you can also delete the associated iCloud data from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Your memories are stored using Apple's native storage frameworks, which benefit from iOS's built-in security model, including device encryption. We follow Apple's recommended practices for handling media files and user data.
We may update this policy from time to time, particularly as we add new features like iCloud sync and family sharing. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll provide notice within the app.
