Detska gradina N 8 "Yuriy Gagarin"

The town of Kazanlak is located in an area where they are grown some of the finest rose gardens and produced one of the highest quality rose oil in the world. This production is a good business for many people in the area, There is a local range. There are many children from the surrounding villages in the central building, because their parents work in the city. The kindergarten is the second largest in the region and unites a former kindergarten. The central building is located in the administrative center of Kazanlak, and the branch is located in a large village near the town, which determines the specifics of the work and the management of the kindergarten.

The total number of children is 202, 16 teachers take care of them and 13 are staff. There are 176 children aged 3-7 years in the main building, divided into 6 groups, which 4 are preparatory groups. At the kindergarten branch there are 26 children aged 2-7 years old. Under the new education law, pre-primary education in Bulgaria is mandatory after the age of 5. In regard to the European projects, the kindergarten has been working on a “Comenius project”- a school partnership. The kindergarten is a member of the Non-governmental organization "Children's Care for Up to 7 Years", in which most municipal kindergartens are united.

The kindergarten actively works on various national projects related to improving literacy, preserving national traditions and customs, as well as participating in various regional and municipal events.

We are also actively participating in the largest and unique Rose Festival dedicated to rose and rose oil - we prepare costumes for the procession, we participate in the open scenes during the holiday and in the children's show "Princesses of the Rose".
