Private students may perform in two Studio Recitals (January and June), which are held at St.Luke's Episcopal Church, Somers, NY, and at Arts on the Lake, Carmel, NY. Students work hard to prepare for these recitals. In addition to regular practice between lessons, they are encouraged to attend multiple performance classes held at Arts on the Lake, in Lake Carmel, NY. These classes allow students to practice performing for each other (no other audience allowed).

New York State Music Teachers Association, District 4 includes Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties and is an affiliate of the Music Teachers' National Association (MTNA).
As a member teacher in this organization, my students may participate in informal concerts, music theory examinations, formal auditions/concerts and composition programs with other teacher members' students. Students not only receive feedback outside of Little House Piano Studio, but are also able to hear and see other teachers students.
Many students choose to perform a NYSSMA audition on piano. NYSSMA, New York State School Music Association, offers evaluative and graded auditions including the performance of one to three pieces, (selected from the NYSSMA manual), a series of prepared scales and a sight-reading example, before one judge. Participants receive a grade and evaluation from the judge.
