Each week, we'll step inside a different children's book together and bring the story to life through sensory experiences, movement, music, props and creative play.
You'll have the chance to explore the featured book with your little one, with simple prompts and ideas to help you notice, interact with and enjoy the story together.
There is no expectation for little ones to sit still, stay quiet or participate in a particular way. Babies are welcome to wiggle, crawl, watch, explore, cuddle, feed, wander and come back when they're ready.
Come as you are, follow your little one's lead, and enjoy the adventure together.
What does a Little Lit Club session look like?
We start by settling in, saying hello and introducing our theme for the session. There might be a song, rhyme or little activity to get everyone comfortable and ready to step inside the story.
With simple prompts and ideas to guide you, you'll explore the story with your little one through sensory experiences, props, sounds, movement and play.
We explore sensory activities inspired by the theme/ book. Little ones can touch, squish, move, listen, look and investigate at their own pace.
Each session includes a creative experience connected to our theme/ story. It's another way to explore the ideas from the session and make something of their own.
We finish with a familiar goodbye song before heading off with our little creations, new ideas and hopefully a little more love for books.
There's also time to slow down and connect with other families. Feed, change, chat, cuddle or simply enjoy a moment together.
