About us.

Born in 1990 in the south of Germany, Carmen later studied to become a teacher for 5-10th graders. She finished her study 2018 with a Master's of Education (Staatsexamen). Her major was German, her minors biology and history.
Additionally, her study required to minor in Psychology and Pedagogy. 

Along her path, she worked at a public German school in Germany to teach immigrant classes and gave private German lessons to Germans and Americans of all ages. 

In the United States she was a part-time teacher at a German Immersion Preschool for 2 years.

Carmen is a mom to 3 wonderful children herself. 

I’m the mother of two incredible children ages 10 and 14. I started working with kids in Houston, TX, as a Sunday school teacher working with children from age 6 months to 12 years. We shared stories and made learning fun in my classroom, as I helped them to become more and more independent. I then went to work for a preschool program. 

I’m very grateful for the experience and training my employer provided, as it helped me to shape my understanding of how individual children learn and how I as a teacher can jump-start their journey to a lifetime of learning and success.

What I love about working with children is that everyday brings a new adventure to learn from, and that everyday child is unique and important.
