The World I built.
The world of HALONAR/Rogue Razor is going to be unlike any Isekai before it.
The system of the world revolves around intricate pieces, like society, race, history. It seems that when you open a fantasy book nowadays, you are met with only one adventure, sure a sequel maybe, but just one straightforward goal.
Most stories tell a tale of a hero who saves the world. But if you read Rogue Razor, you'll realize that the world has already been saved long ago, and there is only a continuous adventure.
You will not find anything that does not make sense in the book, (Besides thing I keep vague on purpose)
As the storyline of both Halonar and Rogue Razor progresses, you will find that the story will begin following others perspectives, Like I claimed earlier, part of the reason why I believe a successful Isekai story is so short-lived these days is due to perspective.
Most stories have one or two, (up to four, if there are a team of mcs) main characters. I actually don't know specifically why this is the case, due to being able to write as many perspectives.
Think about it this way, ill give oyu two options, and you tell me which is better.
Option one:
(Insert MC name) is a normal guy, he gets summoned into another world.
Now, option two:
There is a world in which people are summoned. (Insert MC name) is summoned into this world.
He is plunged into the intricate politics, and the monsters and demons aren't his only enemies.
This is the problem, most Isekai stories use #1. They create the character before the world they live in.
This creates common problems, like the Mc being to basic, too overpowered, things like that. Because the character is written to appease a world they no longer reside.
Now for option two. The formula my story follows.
I wrote two fictions. Both take place in the Isekai genre.
I mainly got the idea to write these books by taking the Isekai genre and facing some questions, like: How would Natives and otherworlders interact?
How would the governments/militaries keep power in check for these superhuman beings?
How would their physiology work?
How can I write a story that is easy to follow?
How Intricate can I make their history?
How can I make the main Characters relatable, but not too generic?
How can I make the Side characters lively, but not too one dimensional?
How would I make people take this seriously, and not fall into any tropes?
How can I make this appeal to people who say "Isekai is cringe"?
I started with my first fiction: Halonar.
It was meant to be the main, and the only storyline. But I saw potential for one of the characters; Hadwyn, and since Halonar had a lot of inconsistencies and plot holes, which were really stressing me out, so I decided to jab a fork in the road and give a second perspective.
