Early literacy rates are alarming low and there are a wide variety of solutions touted to solve the problem. This is especially concerning in at-risk populations across the state. In this online professional development, you will review the current state of literacy in Tennessee, explore a variety of best practices, examine ways administration can support teachers and students, and think about ways to incorporate literacy into every classroom. Finally, you will develop an action plan that will guide your implementation of early-literacy reform.
Literacy issues are not monolithic and require multi-faceted solutions.
