OUR MISSION: The Literacy Association of Greater Erie (LitAGE) is an affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of English. We serve English teachers in Erie, Crawford, Forest, Mercer, Venango, and Warren counties in Northwestern Pennsylvania. LitAGE is a nonprofit organization of literacy and English educators dedicated to our goals of

• providing resource information to literacy and language arts teachers,

• keeping teachers informed about current teaching methods and educational issues,

• providing contacts and networking opportunities with other professionals in the field,

• promoting professionalism and excellence in teaching, and

• encouraging teachers to continue to believe in their personal mission for teaching.
