This card provides support and understanding at a variety of locations around Christchurch. Organisations share accommodations they are able to make for card holders, including discounted entry, additional support people and information about the layout of the destination and key information to ensure a successful visit
The TalkLink Trust:
The TalkLink Trust specialises in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) services. They work with individuals who have complex communication needs and provide solutions such as AAC devices and communication strategies.
Sunflower Lanyard:
Wearing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard allows people with disabilities that are not immediately obvious to discreetly indicate to others – such as airport staff, colleagues, and health professionals – that they may need extra support, care, and time.
Learning Needs Library:
Hires out educational and therapeutic resources to meet the sensory, physical, cognitive, language, emotional and learning needs of the individual.
Child Disability Allowance:
Child Disability Allowance is a fortnightly payment made to the main carer of a child or young person with a serious disability. It is paid in recognition of the extra care and attention needed for that child.
