Funded through the ACCELERATE Project, the aim of the study is to provide the government of Côte d’Ivoire and other stakeholders the information needed to understand what is required to bring bi-annual mass drug administration (MDA) of single-dose azithromycin for children ages 1 to 11 months in high child mortality settings to scale using the existing MDA platform used for trachoma and other neglected tropical diseases. This implementation research study will be conducted in 19 health districts over 3 years. Primary study activities include coverage surveys, qualitative interviews, and antimicrobial resistance surveillance surveys. Implementation will be evaluated using the RE-AIM implementation science framework.

Sexual Health and Reproductive Education (SHARE)
SHARE is a five-year (2021-2026), CAD36.69 million project funded by Global Affairs Canada. The project, with integrated implementation research, is designed to advance gender equality and health-related human rights for adolescent girls and young women in Ghana, Mozambique, and Uganda. Formative and evaluation research questions will be defined and implemented in the three project countries.

Managing Hypertension among People Living with HIV: An Integrated Model (MAP-IT)
Funded through the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, UG3 HL154498, (US$3,190,000).
The award is a 5-year, 2-phased UG3/UH3 cooperative agreement with NHLBI. The UG3 is anticipated to last 2 years and will include preparatory work and a formal needs assessment. This will be followed by a 3-year UH3 phase during which the intervention under study will be tested using an implementation science research approach. The aim of the work is to evaluate the effect of a practice facilitation (PF) strategy designed to integrate an evidence-based intervention for hypertension (HTN) control into HIV care management across primary health centers (PHCs) in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
