"Introversion" was based on old song ideas and later on entirely rewritten and rehearsed as we were sitting at the beach of Renesse during our summer vacation. This song took a tremendous amount of time to record and mix. The lyrics deal with issues like self-doubt, the lack of confidence, and how to overcome those obstacles. The outro showcases our obsession with Tame Impala.
Just woke up today I feel like
Was drifted away for too long
The sun is shining brighter than before
'Cause I was used to the night
Every time I step in through the door
Time keeps passing on again
And I am understanding that
It never ends if l am not gonna change
Hiding all your feelings inside won't take you far enough
To increase your self-esteem
Blacking something out is not to solve its problem
Life is coming from yourself and not just from afar
And you're about to make a difference
The only one who stands in your way is yourself all alone
And it's all in your hands
Well it's a sunny day outside
But l won't hang out with the boys
Time seems passing on again
And I keep turning night today
How long I have to take it yet?
Hiding all your feelings inside won't take you far enough
To increase your self-esteem
Blacking something out is not to solve its problem
Life is coming from yourself and not just from afar
And you're about to make a difference
When you look into the mirror you don't see your face
But all the bad things you have left behind
