This Privacy Policy describes how LionTools ("the Extension") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Chrome Extension. LionTools is designed to enhance your browsing experience with various productivity tools, including a YouTube Blocker and an AI Chat feature. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency.

1. Information We Collect

LionTools is designed with user privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) from your browsing activity or usage of the Extension to external servers.

Locally Stored Information:

The Extension stores certain non-personally identifiable information locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This information is solely for the functionality of the Extension and is never transmitted to us or any third parties. This includes:

•YouTube Blocker Status: Whether the YouTube Blocker feature is enabled or disabled.

•Gemini API Key: Your personal API key for the Gemini AI service, which is used exclusively for the AI Chat feature. This key is stored securely on your local device and is never accessed or transmitted by LionTools.

2. How We Use Information

All information collected and stored by LionTools is used exclusively for the following purposes:

•To Provide Extension Functionality: The locally stored settings are used to enable and configure the features of LionTools, such as redirecting YouTube URLs when the blocker is active or authenticating with the Gemini API for AI Chat.

•To Enhance User Experience: By remembering your preferences, the Extension provides a consistent and personalized experience.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

LionTools does not share, sell, rent, or trade any of your information with third parties. As we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data to share.

Third-Party Services:

The AI Chat feature within LionTools directly interacts with the Google Gemini API. When you use the AI Chat, your queries are sent directly from your browser to the Gemini API using the API key you provide. LionTools acts as a conduit for this communication and does not intercept, store, or process your chat content on its own servers. Your interaction with the Gemini API is subject to Google's own privacy policies and terms of service.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information stored locally on your device from unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your locally stored information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Your Choices and Controls

•Managing Settings: You can enable or disable the YouTube Blocker and manage your Gemini API key directly within the Extension's popup interface.

•Uninstalling the Extension: You can remove LionTools from your Chrome browser at any time. Uninstalling the Extension will delete all locally stored data associated with it.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
