English Language Center

English Language Center (ELC) students come from over 100 different countries and speak over 42 different languages. We teach between 500-600 students every year. ELC volunteers usually serve 1.5 hours per week for an 8-week quarter. There is an experienced teacher that leads each class. Volunteers help to meet the individual needs of students in the classroom while the teacher provides instruction in reading, writing, and pronunciation practice. Evening volunteer times are possible from 6:00-7:30pm or 7:30-9:00pm on weekdays year-round for adults 18 and older. Morning volunteer opportunities are available between May-August.

WAB Warming Center

"The William A Burnard Warming Center strengthens our community by providing safety, warmth, and care for unhoused individuals and families on the coldest nights of the year." Brennan Conrad Foundation

Donate to the Conrad Foundation in honor of their missionary son, Brennan. Every week, young Dominican missionaries enter the mission field to serve their Heavenly Father. Many, due to financial circumstances, arrive without enough high-quality shoes, clothing, and other needed items.

If you can help in this Mission of Love, they would welcome donations of new and gently used clothing for missionaries. All donations to date have been distributed and so the need is great. Needs: small & medium sizes of white shirts and pants for young men, skirts and blouses for young women, and even suitcases.
