SRA badge issue
EXPLANATION WHY A MANDATORY SRA BADGE DOES NOT WORK ON OUR WEBSITE. SRA AWARE AND CANNOT SOLVE!
The SRA require each firm to display an SRA authorisation badge. Unfortunately the service that authenticates the appearance of the badge on solicitors' firms' websites is unable to overcome a technical difficulty displaying the badge on our website. See the message below.
You may confirm our authorisation on THIS PAGE of the Law Society.

to me
Hello Lionel,
Thank you for your message.
I am afraid my attempts this evening have been unsuccessful.
Each time your page is refreshed (loaded by a new user, for example) Google gives your iframe a new hosting URL domain e.g 1875618930-atari-embeds.googleusercontent.com
The number is completely random and changes each time the page is refreshed.
We need to know the URL before we can verify/authorise the badge, but Google appears to randomise the URL number each time.
We looked at implementing a rule that would approve any variation of this URL but the issue there is this URL structure is not exclusive to your website and every google based site shares the same URLs, so in theory, we could be authorising an illegal website by creating such a rule.
Unfortunately, it is not going to be possible to add the badge to your website due to this limitation.
I recommend that you contact the SRA to explain the technical restrictions with your website setup and see what they say. We haven't had any cases like this before, so I am unsure what the SRA's position will be.
I'm sorry we couldn't work this out for you, and please do not hesitate in contacting me should you have any questions.
Kind regards,
David
