This Privacy Policy explains how linversion (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use the Simple Color Picker Android app (the “App”). You do not need to create an App account. The App has free features and an optional Pro subscription. For privacy questions or requests, contact buomeng@gmail.com.
Camera and selected images. With your permission, the App uses the camera preview to sample colors. It processes an image you choose to pick colors and may keep a copy of an associated source photo in the App’s private storage when you save or sync work that uses it. We do not run a cloud image-upload service for these features.
Saved work. Colors, history, palette and project names and notes, source-photo details, and settings are stored in the App’s local database or files. You choose whether to export or share them.
Nearby sync. If you start or join a session, the App uses local network connection details and transfers the library items you select, including associated source photos where available, directly to the paired device. Both devices confirm the connection and proposed changes. Sync traffic is encrypted in transit. The App does not send your library through a linversion cloud relay. Color history and settings are not part of Nearby sync.
Android backup. Android system backup or device-transfer features may copy eligible App data, including locally stored databases and files, according to your device and account settings. Those platform features are separate from Nearby sync and are controlled by Android and your backup provider. We do not operate that backup service.
The App receives this information from your actions on your device. The App does not operate a cloud account or a cloud library for your saved work.
Google Play handles Pro payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds. The App receives subscription product details and purchase status or tokens from Google Play to unlock and restore Pro. It keeps limited purchase-attribution information on the device, including a hash of a purchase token to avoid counting the same purchase twice. We do not receive your full payment-card details or create an App account from your Google Play purchase. For purchase controls, see Google Play subscriptions.
The production App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand feature use, diagnose failed flows, and improve the App. We send structured events such as screen views, saves, exports, sync outcomes, and subscription-flow outcomes. Our custom events do not include your photos, color values, palette or project names, notes, file paths, local network addresses, pairing codes, or purchase tokens. Firebase may also collect automatic usage and technical data, including App and device information and installation identifiers. Where available and permitted, Google Analytics for Firebase may access the Android Advertising ID. The current App does not display in-App ads.
Google may process Analytics information as described in its Firebase privacy information and Google Privacy Policy. Analytics collection is disabled in our development builds; this does not describe the production App.
If you use the feature-request or support email link, your email app prepares a message to buomeng@gmail.com. The suggested message includes the App version and device model; you can review or change it before sending. If you send it, we receive your email address and the content you include, and use them to respond and improve support. Email delivery is also subject to your email provider’s practices.
The other sources of information described in this policy are Google Play and Firebase as the App operates, and an email you choose to send. We do not use an advertising network to show in-App ads.
Google services. Google Play processes subscription transactions; Firebase processes the technical and event data needed for Analytics. Google handles this information under its applicable terms and privacy practices.
Destinations you choose. A paired device receives content you approve for Nearby sync. If you export or share content, the receiving app, file provider, print service, or other destination may process it under its own policy.
Android backup and email providers. Android backup or device-transfer features may copy eligible local App data according to your device and account settings. Your email provider handles delivery of a message you send us.
Legal requests. We may disclose information we hold when required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
We do not sell your personal information or use your saved photos, colors, or palettes for targeted advertising.
You can remove saved items in the App. You can also remove the App’s local data through Android settings or by uninstalling it; copies previously exported, shared, synced to another device, or held in an Android backup may remain elsewhere. Google Play subscription records and Firebase data are retained under the applicable Google services and settings; we may access Firebase reports to operate and improve the App. We keep support correspondence as needed to respond, maintain support records, or meet legal obligations. These different services do not have a single shared retention period.
You can decline or revoke camera access in Android settings and still use features that do not require the camera. You choose whether to select images, send email, export, or begin Nearby sync. Where your Android device offers advertising-ID controls, you can use them in device settings; changing that ID does not disable all Analytics collection.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction or deletion of, or limits on processing of personal information we control. For these requests, email buomeng@gmail.com. Because the App has no user account, we may need enough information to locate and verify a specific support message or other record. Some records are held by Google or a destination you chose, and their own controls and privacy processes may also apply.
Google services and email providers may process information outside your country or region under their own service arrangements and privacy policies. Nearby sync takes place directly between the devices you connect; any later transfer of exported or synced content depends on the destination you choose. We do not claim that all information remains in one country.
We use Android private storage for App-managed files and encrypted transport for Nearby sync. No storage or transmission method is perfectly secure. The App does not ask users for their date of birth or apply an in-App age check. If a parent or guardian believes a minor has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
