Jim Fleckenstein

Originally from Cleveland Ohio, I resided for a short time in beautiful Mandeville Louisiana, on the north shore Lake Pontchartrain, before moving to the city of Johns Creek Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Most recently my wife and I moved to the low country of South Carolina, taking up residence just west of Hilton Head Island. I hope to be able to spend many hours exploring and capturing the look & feel of this beautiful part of North America!

For most of my adult career I was engaged in the world of business. That allowed me to work in a variety of  different roles, including Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, and Training and Development. My personal passion and hobby (since the age of seventeen) has always been photography. After 38+ plus years of working for a living, I retired from the corporate world and happily re-engaged my longtime passion in earnest. When I am not out shooting sunrise photos or landscapes, I use my home studio to paint different styles of fluid acrylic abstracts and work on composing poetry. I am a huge fan of technology, on-line learning and working collaboratively with so many of the wonderful artists I have met virtually.

Apt to forget to remember

And that has made all the difference

The waltz we were born for

I prefer exceptions

Frozen in time

Few Hearts Like Theirs

'T is not too late to seek a newer world
