PhD Candidate at The Australian National University (ANU)
I am a PhD Candidate in Economics at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University, where I am advised by Professor Shiro Armstrong, Professor David Stern, and Associate Professor Yixiao Zhou.
My research focuses on the intersection of international trade, environmental economics, and applied econometrics. Currently, I am investigating how trade liberalisation affects emissions embodied in trade through the Pollution Haven Hypothesis (with a focus on ChAFTA) and examining how major shocks like the US-China Trade War influence energy intensity in manufacturing sectors.
Beyond my thesis, I serve as a Research Officer at the Centre for Climate & Energy Policy (CCEP) at ANU, where I contribute to the quantitative assessment of the global energy transition.
I earned an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Economics (EGEI) from the University of Bari (Italy), Ghent University (Belgium), and the University of Tartu (Estonia), and hold a Bachelor of Economics from the National Economics University (Vietnam). Having navigated academic systems across multiple countries, I understand the international student experience and am happy to connect or help others where possible.
