About Me: Hi, my name is Lindsy and I am a mom of three coming back to school after 20 years. It has been a real learning curve for me. I am studying to be an occupational therapy assistant in the OTA program at the SLCC Jordan campus and plan to graduate in spring of 2025. To me OTA practitioners help people learn the skills they need to do the things that are important to them. I love being outdoors and connecting with nature. Art is also a big passion of mine. It would be great if I could find a way to use this in my future job. Our cohort has grown pretty close in a short amount of time. All of us are bonding through this difficult but exciting journey. My age has been a benefit to me in that I do better at prioritizing my time and taking my education more seriously than I did 20 years ago. The biggest challenge for me has been figuring out technology but I've come a long way and learn more each day.
