Social Media Impact

Description

In this project, we have to find an interesting statistic regarding social media and give our opinion on the effect social media has on society. We also had to include the results we got when taking the social media addiction quiz.

Quiz result

When I took the "AM I ADDICTED TO SOCIAL MEDIA?" quiz, my result was that I was not addicted to social media. This is very true for me, I don't have Snapchat or Instagram, and I don't constantly scroll through YouTube. The only app I use daily is YouTube music.

Social MEDIA'S Impact on society

In my opinion, social media has both a positive and negative impact on society. Some of the positive impacts include keeping people connected, and it gives people ways to stay entertained. Some negative impacts include a negative body image, depression, and anxiety. I think there are more negative impacts of social media, but there are definitely positives.

Lesson learned

I learned that more adults in the U.S. use YouTube and Facebook compared to any other online platforms. I also learned that I see both the positives and negatives of social media and how it impacts society.
